I was a bit torn doing this quote today. While looking for quotes using ‘birthday’ (since mine is coming soon), this one popped out at me. While most everyone is familiar with this quote and the fact that Marie Antionette eventually lost her head over her lack of sympathy (or empathy?), I felt a bit of an echo with current politics due to the SOPA/PIPA bills.
