In a move I haven’t made since the very first day of the year, I’m using my own quote.
It has often been suggested that while, as the human race, we have learned more as we focus intently on subject, it’s possible that we are completely blind to things going on around us. What do you think?

When I look at the Earth from space, I see vast seas, huge land masses, and swirling clouds.
There are no boundaries, save those between water and land.
There are no sections of the Earth that say, “This is the most important place and you’re only important if you live here.”
From this distance, there is only water, land, and sky.
Why do so many of us fear of losing things to others, when we should share everything we can?
Why do so many people take from others, when there are so many willing to give?
Why don’t you ask for what you need, and allow yourself to be connected with thosethat have what you need?
Why don’t you listen to those with needs, and give when you can?

Less than 36 hours from now, I’ll be heading to the airport for my first taste of a large convention. Not just ANY convention, but the San Diego ComicCon. It’s estimated that over 140,000 people will be attending this year. They’ll have over 700 vendors, artists and guests; 400 Q&A sessions; gaming; Film Festival; and more I haven’t even seen. Movie stars. Writers. Directors. Artists.
Personally, I’m hoping to see this group of actors:
I’m also hoping to meet Kevin Smith, who will be moderating the Battlestar panel (pictured above).
Oh yes, and Kate Beckinsale as well.
